Your Guide to Grade Nine!

Drafting

In drafting, our class started out with basic hand drawings: letters, numbers, lines, etc. We then began to learn the language of drafting. The language of drafting is all of the different lines, the writing, and the labeling that any draftsmen would understand if you gave it to them. After we did that, we then drew a box. However, we drew that box with hidden lines, and measurements. Every class the difficulty of the project went up, and soon enough, we were drawing scale models and even our own designs. After term 1 ended, my class went onto the computers to learn AutoCAD®. At first, it seemed tough, but as the days progressed, it got harder, and, yet at the same time, easie. We designed hubcaps on the computers, and that was our last AutoCAD assignment for a little bit. Just in the past few weeks, we design vinyl stickers, and, our own clocks! I just put my stickers onto my clock, and am waiting for the hand parts to come in. After it is all done, I'll post pictures! Okay, for AutoCAD tutorials, just go to Youtube and type in "AutoCAD tutorials." Soon, I will post PDF's of the language of lines, and other things! Feel free to visit the forums!
